Intercessions for the
Presider: Cry out with joy to God, all you peoples! Sing to the glory of his name! Looking to the Cross and Resurrection as manifestations of God’s love, we confidently lift up our concerns to the Risen Lord.
Deacon/ Lector/ Cantor: Please respond: “Lord, hear our prayer.”
1. That the Divine Mercy of God provide healing and energy for Pope Francis, Bishop ______, clergy, and faithful so they are conduits of Divine Mercy to their communities, we pray...
2. That the glorified wounds of Jesus and his sharing a meal with the disciples enhance the faith of Christians to follow in the way of love taught and modeled by Jesus, we pray...
3. That the sacrifice of Jesus touch the hearts of Christians and all seekers of truth to reject idolatries of wealth, power, and pursuit of fame in favor of the example of Jesus’ love, we pray...
4. That the resurrection of Jesus to transformed life provide hope to all who suffer from violence of war, of abuse, of poverty, and the sufferings that come with living, we pray...
5. That the Divine Mercy of God shine its light on the incomprehensible gift that is life: that the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus give meaning and purpose to human suffering, we pray...
6. May the Lord of Divine Mercy reach out to those suffering from illness or accident and console and welcome all coming to the portal of death, we pray...
7. Or the Personal needs of each person here, that the Lord will ease their pain and lead them to the hope of the final resurrection, we pray...
Presider: We beg the Lord of Divine Mercy to answer our prayers and heal our brokenness. May the Lord reach into the hearts and minds of all Christians and inspire us to share this Mercy and Compassion with the people of the world; we ask this in the Name of Jesus who lives and reigns with the Father of all in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
